McKinstry Releases 2024 Social Impact Report
SEATTLE, WA — McKinstry released its 2024 Social Impact Report, highlighting its work to create greater equity and inclusion, serve communities, and drive a zero-carbon future.
“2024 was a year of significant momentum and impact for our socially responsible enterprise. Guided by our values and driven by our people, our bold goals translated into meaningful milestones across equity and inclusion, community and decarbonization nationwide,” said Ashley Ruiz, McKinstry’s vice president of social impact. “We’re incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made and the difference we’re creating together. We’re excited to keep moving forward to build lasting impact for people, communities and the planet.”
Achievements from 2024 included developing a Supply Chain Code of Conduct; receiving our 100th EV, part of our journey to fully electrify our commercial fleet; directing $256.5M to 1,025 small and diverse-owned businesses nationwide; developing and deploying a new inclusive management training for people managers; launching a new Spokane STEM Committee to drive increased engagement in career-connected learning opportunities; launching a first-of-its-kind shared shuttle in Seattle for alternative commuters; contributing 4,360 hours of community service through 136 projects with 83 nonprofits across 16 states, as well as setting a record for Week of Service participation; and contributing over $1M in charitable donations to 315 nonprofit organizations across the country including engagement of nearly 1,000 employees in People’s Choice, our annual employee-driven giving campaign.
